If you have read previous posts you will know that NT have discontinued the Urban Earth tile. Bit of a P.I.T.A. for all of us who have selected it - or so we thought. We have just received a sample of the replacement tile for Urban Earth in the mail today. Happy to report it is very similar to Urban Earth, but slightly lighter. Even the name is similar Banur (Ur ban ur) which is very clever. Have advised our administrator that we are happy to use the replacement tile - so out will come another contract variation I guess.
Have attached a pic so all can see - might help those of you suffering the same tile replacement problem.
Also, signed final plans today so hopefully work can start on our block within the week.

Very nice - they look pretty much identical don't they? Still glad that they actually sent you a sample so you could see & decide for yourselves.

Do you remember the code for the urban earth tile you selected previously ? We only have the code for the tiles and not the name. Trying to confirm if it is the same and if so, means that we wont be getting that tiles as well when we start building.

our code for earth was NT5-104FL but was a smaller tile than yours. I went to NT local NT yesterday, Earth has changed quite alot in my eyes. I got four people to look at the urban and the banur and they all said the banur was more "pinky". We're not having the replacement because of that. Grrrrrrr and the banur cloud is throwing off a green tinge double grrrrr so we're not having that either!

DH went to NT yesterday and picked up a large sample of the Banur Earth and you are right, it is a bit pinker than the Urban Earth. Still OK for us but would have preferred the Urban Earth.
