After 3 days of very bad weather the framers finally made a start erecting the frame.
While sharing a quiet drink while they packed up, the lead chippie informed me that it was a "pretty good slab".
He also confirmed that it was the first Rowland 41 built, although one Rowland 34 had been finished.
The only problem - one pipe is not quite within the stud wall and will have to be moved, but will be an easy fix.

Yippee - a start! It will go up quickly now...as long as they keep working! I think these tradies are just not used to working in the rain any more! Let's hope they keep going. ;-)
Congratulations on the start of your frame! This is the fun part, for Mum and Dad as well as the kids. It'll go up quick, we had a lower frame in three days.
Congrats, it is coming along in leaps and bounds.

Congrats on the frame! Won't be surprised to see the frame complete by next week!
How did u guys go with the balustrade issue ilo plaster dwarf wall? Had our contract today and they told us the same but said they won't charge us for it cos it's not stipulated anywhere!!!! Can't help but feel duped in your shoes! :(
Wow the first 'Rowland 41' to be built - that's a bit of an honour.
You'll be setting a precedaent with your blog! Looking forward to all the progress pics.
