Problem Solved.
After a very productive meeting with our SS today we have been told that they will remove and reverse the 2 bathroom cavity sliding doors. This will solve the problem with the basin clearance and also give the opened hinged door somewhere to hide.
We couldn't of asked for more and are very happy with the cost. ($0.00)

Hi G&V. Progress at you site continues to amaze. Your slab went down a good month after ours, yet looking at your latest entry, you are only around 2 weeks behind. When does the painting start? Have you been advised a completion date yet?
Your kitchen cupboards look a similar colour as ours. Pearl Grey?

Kitchen cupboards are vincenza walnut but it sounds like there a few very similar colours around.
..and yes, it will be a free standing oven.
