The Brickies Have Landed.

After a 2 week wait our brickies have finally arrived and made a start. Yeh!!!
Between a very windy start to the day and a very wet afternoon our brickies have stacked the bricks around the house and layed about 700 bricks.
On closer inspection we are very happy with the quality of their workmanship. Very straight lines, square corners and plum walls are a very positive first step to an important piece of the building puzzle.
Funny how the off white mortar looks so grey at this stage.

On the down side.... The plaster is getting wet every time it rains heavily.

Hi guys, great to see u managed to find some brickies! Hope they don't disappear again! Wonder if the plaster would need to be reordered?

Happy to see some bricks at last. Why oh why did they deliver plaster so early?

Oh.. Refer my last blog comments for a handy tip on HT wiring.

Well at least you have some action now on the brickwork, but sad to see all of the plaster getting soaked :-( They'll just have to replace it wont they!

Great to see you have brickies - they seem to be a rare breed! What a waste - they will just replace the plaster they can't use the soaked stuff will just get chucked...I hate that!

Hi Glenn & Vicki, we have just signed up to build the (not so big) Rowland 35 in Bacchus Marsh, so I will be very interested in watching your progress. Good luck with the rest of your home.
