Scaffold Is Up and More Wrapping
Now we wait for the mysterious and illusive brickies to bless us with their presence.(they are booked for Friday.) Now the house has been wrapped we only need the insulation installed and plumbing finished off before the plaster is installed on the 10/10/08. Wishfull thinking?????????
Good luck for Friday guys. I hope they turn up and get a wriggle on. Some of the long gaps in between work can really be dissapointing, but you will eventually get there ;-)
G&V, I have a really dumb question. Is there anything in your contract about costs associated with fencing to protect the building site??. I would assume this is the builders responsibility. Appreciate whether this was an issue for you.
Hi G&V, Just came across your blog. I'm sure you'll be ecstatic when the brickies return but if you're anything like me, I couldn't wait until the brickies finished. I got sick of counting layers of bricks. But then again, I would have liked to see Rome built in a day! Great looking blog btw.
Hope those brickies turned up today - although we had a bit of rain today so I hope they didn't decide on an extra early beer'o'clock, being wet AND Friday!

G&V. Don't forget to roll out the red carpet on Friday. Brickies should be treated as Royalty.
Looking forward to seeing some mortar.
Really coming along nicely guys. I think you need to leave food out for the brickies. That always works for the birdies.

Hi R&C. The temp fencing is included in "site costs". No extra money is paid for the fence.
ggitt,
many thanks, I also thought it was their responsibility to make the site safe and their liability for property and equipment on the site.
Thanks

Hopefully plaster will start on time, too!
